What you can see for any channel's Shorts
- Top Shorts — the channel’s best performers, sorted by views.
- Views, likes and comments on each Short.
- Engagement rate — how the audience reacts relative to views.
- Why it worked — the hook and format behind the best Short.
How to check your own Shorts analytics
- 1Open YouTube Studio
On desktop, go to studio.youtube.com and sign in.
- 2Go to Analytics → Content
Click Analytics in the left menu, open the Content tab, then click the Shorts chip to filter to Shorts.
- 3Read the Shorts metrics
Impressions (times shown in the feed), views, engaged views, likes and traffic sources. Engaged views matter most.
How to see another channel's Shorts stats
The private Studio dashboard is owner-only, so to study another channel you read the public numbers instead. Paste any channel above to pull its top Shorts and engagement, plus a breakdown of why the best one worked. For a fuller workflow, see the YouTube Shorts analyzer.

Frequently asked questions
Can you see YouTube Shorts analytics for another channel?
Not the private Studio dashboard — that’s owner-only. But view counts and engagement are public on every Short, so a tool can surface any channel’s top Shorts and the engagement behind them.
How do I see my own YouTube Shorts analytics?
Open YouTube Studio → Analytics → Content tab, then click the Shorts chip. Or in the Content tab, hover any Short and open its analytics. You’ll see impressions, views and engaged views.
What's the difference between views and engaged views on Shorts?
A view counts after a few seconds of watching; an engaged view counts when someone watches at least ~30 seconds or to the end. Engaged views are the better signal of a strong Short.
Is this Shorts analytics tool free?
Yes — paste a channel or Short link and try it free with no login. A paid plan for unlimited use is coming.
