How to see Insights on your own Reels

It’s free. Settings → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account (Creator or Business).

Go to the Reel you want, then tap View Insights underneath it.
- 3Read the metrics
Plays, accounts reached, likes, comments, saves, shares and watch time. Saves and shares matter most for reach.
How to check another creator's Reels
You can’t open someone else’s Insights, and you can’t see who viewed a Reel — Instagram hides both. What you can do is read the public numbers. Can you see someone else's Instagram Reels stats?
Not the private Insights — Instagram only shows reach, watch time and saves to the account owner. But views, likes and comments are public on every Reel, so a tool can read those to surface a creator’s best Reels and their engagement.
Can you see who viewed your Instagram Reel?
No. Instagram never shows a list of who watched a Reel — only people who like, comment, share or DM are visible. That’s true for your own Reels and everyone else’s.
How do I see Insights on my own Reels?
Switch to a free Professional (Creator or Business) account, open a Reel, and tap View Insights. You’ll see plays, accounts reached, likes, saves, shares and watch time.
What's a good engagement rate on Reels?
Above ~4% is solid and the median is around 7.5%. Above 10% is good, 14%+ is excellent. Check any Reel with the engagement rate calculator.
